Our Kitchen Cabinet Painting Process
First, we mask off the work area thoroughly.
Next, we remove the cabinet hardware and mark the cabinet doors to make re-assembly easier.
Then we set up a filtered fume exhauster to minimize dust and odor.
After that we aggressively clean the cabinet surfaces to remove any oil, grease, dirt, contaminants, etc.
Then we make any needed repairs to the cabinets like filling chips, cracks, seams, etc.
Next we sand and de-gloss the cabinets as needed to prepare the surface for refinishing.
After that, we spray on multiple coats our vinyl sealer. Which adds moisture/heat resistance.
Then we spray on multiple coats of our tinted lacquer which adds the color/sheen and is very durable.
After that we apply our clear lacquer in the same sheen to protect the cabinet surfaces from scratches and wear.
Once dry we reinstall the cabinet doors/drawers and reinstall the hardware.
Remove all the masking materials and clean up the work area.
